Understanding User Roles

Last updated: November 14, 2025

Overview

There are three main roles for organization users in nodaFi: Admins, Staff, and Viewers. Admins can manage the organization, other users, and all other settings. Staff and Viewers have more limited abilities, and the actions a user can perform in nodaFi depends on which of the two roles they have. Below we’ll break down each of the roles:

  • Staff - A staff user cannot perform high-level actions such as creating locations or adding users to nodaFi. Staff users do have full management ability over tickets with the ability to set up and schedule procedures, update tickets, and more.

  • Viewer - A viewer user cannot perform any high-level admin actions nor can they update key information for tickets. Viewers are only able to update basic statuses and perform existing procedures in NodaFi. The viewer role is best assigned to someone who simply performs maintenance tasks and not someone who is in charge of managing those tasks and distributing them.

If you are unable to perform actions in the system, contact your Admin about your user role level. Your role may need to be adjusted in order to perform the desired task. Your admin may enable Vendor roles as well.
