Understanding Users and Groups

Last updated: October 14, 2025

Overview

Users are able to log in and use the nodaFi system. There are different types of users and they can have different access levels. For more information on these types, see the article User Permission Levels

Admins are the only ones able to add and manage users.

User Groups

To help with ticket assignment, nodaFi has User Groups for those users who are part of your organization. User groups are a way to categorize users and set up automated ticket workflows. When you create user groups, you can assign a certain space or issue categories to the group. This assignment ensures any ticket related to those spaces or assets is automatically assigned to the users in that group.

For example, you might have an IT Team. By assigning all users in your IT team to a group, you can assign any issue related to computers, networking, or software access to that group. When someone submits a ticket about a broken monitor, the ticket will automatically be assigned to the members of the IT team. This automation is set up when creating or managing groups
